I admit to stealing a few of these snapshots from social media, but in my defense since Aub doesn’t live at home that is the best place to find them:)

What was your favorite memory from last year?

This is a really tough question to answer because I had a lot of good memories and visited a lot of fun and interesting places in the year that I was 26. I guess my favorite memory was snorkeling in Hawaii and riding in the front of the boat with Lelu and Ari and chanting as the boat went uuuppp and doooowwwwn in each new swell of water. It was simple and silly and fun, and being on or near the ocean makes me feel at home.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

It’s hard to say where I see myself in five years, because I’ve changed and progressed both emotionally and physically a whole heck of a lot in the last five and don’t really have a strong vision for my career yet.  I do see myself hopefully at peace with being in my 30s (a terrifying thought), and at peace with myself. I see myself sharing my life with someone that laughs at my jokes and makes me laugh, and that loves me when I’m down, and that encourages me to work hard and make my life the best and fullest it can be. I see myself traveling and laughing and eating a lot of great food with great friends.

Much to my delight and surprise, Aub sent ME flowers for HER birthday thanking me for giving her life. How awesome is that?? especially since we couldn’t spend her birthday with her!

Since she is 27 and her birthday is the 27th, the theme was golden and I thought it was a lot of fun to send her both balloons and cupcakes to work.
