What’s new this fall…

TT is playing football again, but broke his arm two days before the first game, not playing football, but at school during recess.  It was a buckle fracture so he only needed a cast for three weeks and they let kids play with casts, so he only missed one game. (of course I thought social services would show up when B tried to talk the Dr. at Urgent Care into casting it right away so he wouldn’t miss the first game).
Ari took a break from gymnastics because they wanted her to move up another level and go sixteen hours per week.  I just don’t think a ten year old should be doing anything that intensely.  All three of the kids started going to a rock climbing class in the summer, twice a week for two hours. TT and Ari still go when they don’t have football or soccer. For Ari it was like surfing, she just seems to be a natural, the coach begged me to let her keep coming whenever she can fit it in. Lelu and TT are getting really good too.  Ari’s also learning how to play soccer on a brand new competitive team.  They are seriously like the Bad News Bears.  They started out the season getting blown out (it was cringe worthy to watch) but last week they tied, with Ari making her first goal.

He’s left handed and this is his left hand – which made it difficult to do most things.

I am taking three classes this fall, so I go to school twice a week from nine to two.  I need two more fine arts courses, so I picked History of Rock n Roll (which I love because he plays snippets of most of the songs he lectures about and I’ve looked ahead and we will be hearing my 80’s alternative genre) and I am learning a lot of useless information for my know-it-all of useless information personality.  Beware of R&R trivia….  I am also taking digital photography and have SO MUCH to learn. My technically challenged abilities + a camera I don’t know how to use, creates my hardest class (including Justice & International affairs).  I am working on ending the self consciousness of being the oldest person in the room, but I realized last week it’s really pretty easy since most of these college kids think I am invisible anyway.  Maybe for them it’s like having their mom in class? Oh well, let that be a lesson to you young’ns, finish college before you are the oldest person in the room!

Writing backwards with glow sticks is not as easy as it looks.

I took this cool photo with a slow shutter speed, model Ari and tracer Lelu.
