The night before we flew home from Mexico, B, Master D and TT picked up Ari from the airport coming back from AZ and headed to the desert to camp and ride the toys.
Saturday night B picked us up from the airport and the next day was Father’s Day. I had ordered myself a honey almond birthday cake to arrive when I got home and pretty much dove in and ate it myself. (It gave me quite the stomach ache). We made steak and mashed potatoes and then pretty much just hung out on the front porch bonding.
Lelu heard someone recommend to B the book “Conscious Capitalism” and she remembered and bought it for him. The next morning I came out and TT had read at least one third of the book….I’m pretty sure that apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. We may have another entrepreneur in the making.
We found this chalk drawing of an old Indian that B had drawn in high school and I had it framed for him.
Lelu went to orientation up at the U and is now an official student.
Master D ran his first marathon on June 24th in Morgan UT and we went up to support him. I ran with him from mile 22 to 23 and then B and Lelu ran the final 3.1 with him. They were both originally going to run it with him, but due to injuries they had to bail. Master D had a hurt foot from running the half marathon but toughed it out. Maddie came down to support him too. Bucket List X
As soon as Ari was done with Cheer on June 26th, Master D was kind enough to help me out and drive her up to Heber for Girl’s camp. She returned Friday after we’d left for CA. The amount of coordinating that it takes to overlap and maintain schedules is crazy. Cheer will be controlling all of our summer plans doing anything with all of us at the same time.

On June 29th, B and I headed out for a weekend in Carmel for our anniversary. This was my year to plan our celebration. With the same kind of theme in mind (we went to drive race-carts) as last year, I surprised him just little bit of one-upping, I thought it’d be fun to drive Range Rovers on an off road course with an instructor and Carmel was the place to do it. We almost missed our flight as B left his wallet at home. Luckily, TT found it and Jeff and Christina picked it up and brought it to us at the airport. I went through security and told the gate agent what was up. The entire plane was loaded and when B finally showed up we had 5 minutes left before they shut the door. So very Grateful for J & C. The hotel views were amazing.
We get a lot of snap chat photos from the kids and they also seemed to have their own fun at home.
We went hiking in Big Sur among the Redwoods.

We considered making an offer on this van and hitting the road.
It was very windy and cold on the coast. Another beautiful place on earth! Plus I love this guy and look forward to another 28 years!

We took a golf lesson and we weren’t half bad. B could hit so far we couldn’t even see where it landed. It was gloomy and overcast in Carmel the whole time we were there. Kind of a bummer…but it’s been so hot and sunny in Salt Lake it was kind of a nice break.
I even left some big divots on the green…which the golf coach told me most women are afraid to do and it was a good thing.
I didn’t get any photos of the driving off road because I was too busy driving. Let’s just say, if there’s a zombie apocalypse – I’d be able to escape straight up a mountain. They time you on a course too for a contest they are having. The last woman who drove it hit 10 plastic pipes that take a minute off your time..I hit ZERO plastic pipes. I didn’t win the contest but I was pretty proud of my new skills.
