Birthday questions 2017
- If you were a cake which cake would you be?
Swedish Wedding cake
2. What is one thing you’re embarrassed to admit you want to try?
Taking the LSAT, the MCAT, GMAT and the GRE. I never took the ACT or the SAT and because my professor last semester said that philosophy majors do better on all of them, I’m curious to see how I’d do.
3. Are you proud of what you’re doing with your heart and time right now?
Mostly. Some things feel like shackles and I’d like to get to a point where I don’t do anything that feels like shackles.
4. Have you ever won anything? Big or small?
I won a spelling bee in 5th grade, I won an 8-track stereo guessing how many jelly beans were in a jar at a carnival in UT when I was about 10, but since I was so young and I didn’t have an adult with me, they gave it to the next closest person. Grandpa was mad when he found out but it was too late. I won a piano lesson with Chris Martin. I won a pack of burt’s bees stuff at Sagan’s baby shower for having a ton of crap in my purse. I’ve probably won other small things but I can’t think of anything right now.
5. What food will you absolutely not, under any circumstances, eat?
If it’s actual food and not a poisonous bug or cow brains or something like that, there are probably circumstances that I would eat anything – like having a gun to my head.
6. What’s the best way to comfort you when you’re having a really terrible day?
Coldplay; a Chai; unsolicited kind words or acts of service.
7. Where is the most beautiful place on earth and why?
I’ve seen some amazing beautiful places – some that come to mind are the Amalfi coast, giant bushes of hydrangeas in Scotland, the Adriatic Sea from the Island of Hvar, there is also something about the beautiful blue sky with fluffy white clouds wherever I am and notice or a particularly beautiful sunset or double rainbows over the mountain – all of them bring up the “God is real and loves us” feeling in me.
8. Are ghosts real?
Probably but I really hope I never encounter any – unless they are friendly.
9. Are aliens real?
Probably but I really hope I never encounter any – unless they are friendly.
10. What’s the saddest song you’ve ever heard?
There’s this one that Lelu bought called “Miss Invisible” by Marie Digby about a teenage girl feeling ignored and neglected. The video for “The Scientist” is really sad, but I don’t think the song is.
11. How about the sweetest song?
U2 “The Sweetest Thing”
12. What was the name of the first person you ever had a crush on? Why did you like them?
Brian Moore in 6th grade. I just thought he was cute.
13. What do you think you cook or bake the best?
Probably the pumpkin roll because it has secret ingredients that I haven’t shared with very many people – and I just made it that way by mistake once and it tasted better.
14. If you could change your first name what would it be?
I‘ve had to think about it so long that I guess I wouldn’t unless I had to go into hiding or witness protection and then I’d be something like Ella or Lilly because it’s common but likable.
15.When you’re upset, do you want space or attention?
Space

“accomplish things Bucket List” – finish the life coaching class I’m taking
“see things Bucket List” – Sweden
“Meet people Bucket List” – Brene’ Brown

My kids either being really mean or really rude to each other, me or anyone for that matter.
18. Who are you most envious of—real or fictional—and why?
Probably CS Lewis – because he had a direct line to understanding profound truths and a gift for writing about them.
19. What are 5 things that give you complete peace of mind?
B and all of my kids home safe and sleeping under my own roof.
The blue sky with fluffy white clouds.
Meditation some days.

People kicking my chair – on a plane or in a movie theatre
