The girls and I planned a trip to visit Rel in Carlsbad. Sadly, Kenna had a wedding and couldn’t make it. Aub was already there. E was a really good sport being 36 weeks pregnant. Lelu left her girls with Jake. And we made it happen. We ate a lot of really good food. Were in awe of the Flower Fields. Got matching sweatshirts. Did a little shopping. I even thrifted a little at a farmers’ market. And just spent time together in a very beautiful area with my beautiful girls!

We got back and hosted the girls’ second birthday Ice Cream themed swim party at our house.

I have zero recollection of this particular Mother’s Day. I know I got flowers and T&K with Rel gifted me hanging baskets.

On their actual bday – the girls got a hot pink bronco – it really does not get any cuter than twin girlies in a hot pink powerwheels.

Lelu hosted a baby shower for D&E in her backyard.

E and I added the finishing touches to the nursery

And then the big event we were all waiting for arrived (with a somewhat traumatic bang) on the last day of May. We were all so very happy and excited to meet our very first grandson. CBT And what a big boy he was. Nearly 10 pounds of adorable squish. Phew! Joy! Excitement! Love!!
