A Lot of Loves in June 2025

B had another Stanford appointment where they activated his adaptive neurostimulator, since it was FINALLY approved by the FDA. He’s been waiting since 2018. I just happened to have also bought tickets to Coldplay at the Stanford stadium that landed on the day before his appointment. My concert buddy Rel was game to go with me. Also Stanford’s flowers are different every time I go. I wish I knew how often they changed them out.

We were sad to leave this brand new little buddy for a couple days, but he was getting to know mom and dad.

Willow Smith was one of the openers. I don’t know what on earth her music genre even is, and I seriously doubt she does either. She floated around the stage barefoot while singing notes and style completely different than the music. It was the most confusing, chaotic and ridiculous openers I’ve ever seen. Poor girl needs to do something else. Also I’ve been to a lot of Coldplay concerts in a lot of different venues and I have to say, the people of Palo Alto are not fun fellow attendees AT ALL! Nobody knew the lyrics, no one danced – it was weird. Of course, we sang all the lyrics and danced to our hearts content and stole a giant balloon.

My peonies were popping!

Uncle Dave came to town and got to meet our lil guy.

The girls were in love with their new cousin.

My birthday was awesome. Everyone came over and we had a catered dinner outside.

The next night Rel and I caught Mumford and Sons. Their opener was Good Neighbor, who is a brand new band that I actually really love a couple of their songs.

I went to lunch with my friends.

Lelu, J and the girls had cute family photos up in the canyon, where me and Rel went to help and came home covered in dirt.

These are my favorite matching shirts I’ve ever picked out for our Cool 4th Club!

Almost everyone was there on our anniversary. The lake was beautiful and the air was clear. Super excited to all be together!
