I can never get enough Coldplay…and B was planning (willingly) to go with me, but, sadly on the Friday before the Monday show, work had a -work-all-weekend-sixteen-hours-a-day glitch- that prevented him from going. I was very sad he couldn’t make it. And yet Master D, luckily, chose to miss a couple precious days of his spring semester to join me (still pulling off straight A’s).  The tickets went on sale five days before the show.  I had booked our flights and hotel a couple months before and was neurotically checking for tickets.  The show sold out in two minutes. SOO lucky to even get tickets!

Coldplay’s new album came out and they announced that they were not touring extensively and were only playing six venues – so of course I HAD TO GO! The show was on the UCLA campus in a venue that only held 2500 people. It was intimate, private concert feeling and, needless to say, amazing! I even saw Chris Martin’s kids on stage before the show started.  I couldn’t get my camera out fast enough to snap a good photo.
