Fall in a Large Nutshell

Yep we went to the desert and camped – for two whole days and nights.  It was um…. dusty.  B told someone his favorite trip this past summer was camping for two days. What?? Were we on the same camping trip?
IMG_2907 I’m pretty sure they froze sleeping in those hammocks and I was pretty uneasy all night that some drunken ya hoo wouldn’t see them and think it was funny to ride their dirt bike between the cars and take them out. Phew! They were ok.IMG_2913

B’s niece Courtney got married down in CA the last weekend of August. B took Ari with him and they had a little one on one daddy daughter time.IMG_0803 IMG_0800 IMG_0793IMG_0807

TT played LaCrosse this fall.  He’s never played before and by the end of the fall season, he was really getting the hang of it.  He had announced to us one night that he had signed up and then he rode his bike to a lot of the practices and practiced constantly with his friends in his spare time. It is a brutal game! They run down the field beating each other with a stick. One game was in Logan, which made it very convenient to visit Lelu.  We went to lunch with her roommate Miranda and friend Jake before we headed home. Their team ended the season winning the whole thing. IMG_3006 TT also was on the mountain bike team again. The last race was the first week of La Crosse games.

IMG_3007 In fact there’s been a lot of biking this fall. TT and B over the summer and fall biked the Wasatch Crest a few times.  It’s a trail that goes from Big Cottonwood Canyon over down in to Millcreek Canyon. B, TT and Master D all went night riding.  Both of which scare me to death.

And then B got invited to go mountain biking with some clients in Vermont.  He went out there the first of October and enjoyed all of the beautiful fall leaves and some wicked trails and bridges.  All of these guys are younger than him but he was able to keep up no problem. IMG_0655 IMG_0687 IMG_0738 IMG_0739 IMG_0837 IMG_0874 IMG_0880 IMG_0881Over fall break we took a really quick trip down to Huntington.  The water was 72 degrees! TT and B were the only ones up for surfing this time around and they didn’t even need wetsuits. IMG_3053IMG_3039 Literally two hours before we flew home, we went parasailing.  The rope is 800 feet long so you get pretty high up there, where B and I found out just how afraid of heights Ari is.  I thought it was so awesome. We could see all the way down the coast to Long Beach.  The other kids got a little dip into the water…mean mom said okay (and laughed) when the captain asked if he should IMG_3162B decided after our camping trip to the desert he needed some dirt bikes, so he’s been grabbing a couple hours here and there to take the boys and ride them.  They are both way too big for me or Ari, so I pass on the adventure and she works on B to get her one her size.  Yikes I hate momo’s

This is TT who from all reports has become quite adept.

  1. Wow!! That’s all I can say. Looks so daring to a wimp like me. I like bike riding on a level area with perfect weather.
