June 24-28, 2014. We went to Chicago to visit B’s friend/business associate and wife who invited us out to their amazing farm near Carthidge and Nauvoo. They are not LDS but know we are and have extended the invite for the last ten years. We decided to go this summer. It was a blast aside from the traffic that makes Los Angeles traffic look like a walk in the park. From the plane ride with the entire varsity Olympus high school baseball team and Lelu’s new friend Bobby, to a Cubs game, a night time tour of the city in a convertible, pizza, fishing, atv riding to visiting the church historical sights, it was awesome. Master D displays his creative genius again.

I have probably told you that my great grandfather Warren Foote’s property is on a corner where the street to Nauvoo and Carthage intersect. We looked up property of our ancestors while there last time. My gg grandfather, Jacob Meyer’s property was in Nauvoo, not far from the temple. Loved visiting there! Another great adventure for you and your family!
