- Lelu turned sixteen this week and we started the party early. I think I am more excited than she is. Another driver to send on errands is about the best gift I could ever receive at this time in my life!
08/23/13 The Fun. concert. Fun. is a band. It was really fun too. I bought eight tickets and yes Dave, I went with three teenagers to a concert and took four of my middle aged friends too. It was out at Saltaire and it was a beautiful night and not hardly stinky and really great people watching. I hope I NEVER get too old to go to concerts. I plan to take my grandkids too;)
Kayla, Landon and Lelu LOVED the concert! And sang Pitch Perfect songs all the way home in the car. These are the moments!
08/24/13 Saturday was nonstop: TT’s football scrimmage where he ran in a touchdown only to have it called back for holding. On to the TazWorks summer party at Provo Beach and then back up to Sandy for the ReAl game. Ari’s team got to parade around the field before it started. Wow do the fans get into these games, there are some die hard soccer fans in Salt Lake that I had no idea existed. It was a great game! Maybe we’ll do that again sometime.
On Sunday it was Landon’s 15th birthday and Lelu gave a great talk in church about being a disciple of Christ. She did a great job. Public speaking is her thing – full of confidence, smiley and articulate! We barbequed hamburgers with mashed potatoes and salad – Landon’s menu choice and then birthday cake. I really do love birthdays.
