We Spent Much Time in AZ

January 30 to April ish…

There are many beautiful things about spending an extended period of time in the valley of the sun. First the many days of perfect 70 degree weather and the sun shining. We have our very own Little Sebastian (from Parks n Rec just FYI) down the street from us. Also the many delicious restaurants that Utah and Montana seriously lack. Best of all, we can go see Dave play his gigs and his kids play their sports. We grieve for that time in our lives gone and passed us by.

We found my favorite little coffee shop with better than average chai and my favorite blueberry scone. We walked there almost every day. Lelu, Jake and Finn came to visit for a week. We also flew home for the weekend to go to Kenna’s mission farewell. We are all really going to miss her. We hope and pray the people of Houston will take good care of her.

We also spent a lot of time with Ari (btw I am going to switch her nickname to REL – Jake started calling her that and it has pretty much stuck). She had some tire troubles that we were glad we were there to help. We saw her at least every Sunday when we’d trade going back and forth to Gilbert for dinners with D&M etc. We were also busy with the wind down of the company and it’s many challenges and burdens so we are hoping that 2022 will be more like true retirement? (knock on wood, right?).
