In May…..haha

I’ve had about a five month delay in getting back to writing my blog. I thought: “I must have writer’s block” and gave myself a good rationalizing excuse for not getting on here. Also, I started working full time again in B’s office, I’m too busy.. blah blah blah. But then I heard a quote that I can’t remember who said it (I’m pretty sure it was in the life coaching course I’m also back to finishing) It said something to the effect of “Why do we say we get ‘writer’s block’ but never get ‘talker’s block’? We should write the same way we talk and then we’d never be blocked.” Of course, there are times when I’ve been speechless – but those are generally moments of shock, trauma or pure awe – few and far between. And then I read a book that suggested I pay attention to how often people say “I’m too busy, or I’ve been so busy” and to try not to use ‘busyness’ as an excuse. Honestly if I pay attention, life will always remind me, put me in my place and center me into authenticity…IF I pay attention.

This is the New Year’s resolution ALWAYS: (freedom becoming the belief)

I looked back through all of my photos from 2018 and thought: WOW WHAT A YEAR!!!

I mean really! I kind of hate to admit I was upgraded to platinum Delta membership reward status and was kind of dumbfounded how that happened. But Duh, I definitely have a certain level of perspective amnesia about 2018. SO MUCH happened!

• I was on 44 airplanes in 2018. FORTY-FOUR
• B had a MIRACULOUS quality of life-saving, our family saving, brain surgery (where I was actually ‘talker’s blocked’)
• Lelu got engaged and married.
• Master D graduated from BYU and moved to NYC to go to Columbia University!
• Me and TT helped build a school room in Africa.
• I turned 50.
• We killed many parasites (at a premium) invading Taz. (there may be some lingering spirochetes) yet we are thriving to tell about it. Hind-sight is another kick to the butt!
• Aub spent 5 weeks in Europe and turned 30!
• Lelu spent 2 weeks in Thailand and turned 21!
• Master D and TT had their Walter Mitty moments in Iceland
• I saw so much of God’s beauty! (Some of that ‘pure awe” proving this year those moments were not quite so few and far between)

I realize we are almost halfway through 2019 but it’s looking pretty good so far. Remembering that it’s FREEDOM to drift in the ever-changing winds….mostly.
