Week of May 28th
First TT and Kenna went to a small friend group prom that some parents set up for them so they didn’t miss their prom. Cute TT and Kenna have been dating for the last two years and we absolutely love Kenna and hopes she sticks around forever.

Ari and her friend Sage went and took a bunch of photos at the school before real graduation.

The neighborhood put together a parade for the seniors and the kids drove around and collected treats and gifts from people who sat on the side of the road. It was pretty fun for both of them and us to watch, and they made a haul! The neighborhood seniors below – missing about 7 more of them. The neighborhoods all over Draper did something similar for their graduates too. These 2020 graduates were more spoiled than my older kids ever were.

Master D drove and Kenna rode in front with him.

Jake’s brother Cale rode a motorcycle

TT’s friend since they were two – Caden and the other kid is the boy twin in the other set of twins (the girl didn’t go for some reason) in our neighborhood.

Graduation morning – we signed up for a time to go line up at the local elementary school with all of TT’s friends and then parade again through the neighborhood by the high school in the back of trucks, cars, side by sides – whatever. Then we pulled up in front of the high school and they got out and walked across the stage while the principal handed them their diploma and they called their name out through a loud speaker. All of this was broadcast on Zoom too. It was definitely the most fun and memorable high school graduation I’ve ever been to. I didn’t miss trying to find parking, trying to get a decent seat or all the dumb speech’s by the administrators or the endless calling of all the names one bit. The high schoolers in my opinion didn’t miss out on anything – now the colleges are another story entirely. I had thought with FOUR graduates this year we’d take a really cool trip somewhere as a family, we were also going to take Ari to New York, TT was going to Newport Beach (which he did do but I got ZERO photos from him) and everything continues to be shut down.
