Believe it or not, I slept SO WELL the night before our wedding day. I woke up feeling refreshed and ready for the day ahead of me. I got up, took a bath, and went downstairs to start getting ready. I had Marisa Rose do my makeup and HOLY CRAP was she good! Like SO good. I told her to make me look like Blake Lively.. Haha! She nailed it. I had my friend, Chelsea Brimhall do my hair. There’s no one else I would trust! She’s amazing. I just wanted it down and pulled back. I felt so beautiful! My sweet friends, Kayla and Becca came over to help me finish getting ready, and then I was off to the temple with my mom and dad. It was seriously the prettiest day.
We arrived at the temple and filled out some paperwork, and started getting ready for our sealing. It was a looooong 2 hours waiting to be sealed, but we were finally able to go up to our sealing room. Our sealer just happened to have Parkinson’s AND just happened to have had the SAME surgery my dad had last year. Divine intervention, I am telling you! Our sealing was amazing. I just remember feeling so happy and peaceful. & then it was over before I knew it! One of my VERY favorite parts was walking out of the temple, hand in hand, with all of our loved ones waiting outside for us. I keep saying this, but that was the best feeling in the world!

The rest of the day was a bit of a blur. After the temple, I felt a bit like a chicken running around with its head cut off trying to get everything done before our reception. I chose to have a dinner the night before so I didn’t feel that way! I don’t know how wedding luncheon’s EVER find their way into the wedding day schedule. I’m just glad we didn’t have to do it that way. After we finished packing for our honeymoon, Jake and I drove to our reception venue… The Castle at Wadley Farms in Lindon. We walked inside and my mouth dropped to the floor. IT. WAS. STUNNING. My vision was perfectly executed. I couldn’t have imagined a better scene! I’ll let pictures do the talking for this one because I’ve got to be honest, the reception was a bit of a blur for me. But mostly I just remember feeling so grateful to all of the people that came. I understand it was crazy doing a wedding 3 DAYS before Christmas, so I was extra grateful to my family and friends that were able to make it fit in their schedules AND those who had to travel far. I’m seriously so blessed with my people! THANK YOU.

Our reception was filled with all my favorite food- chick fil a, homemade crepes, crumbl’s chocolate chip cookies, and hot chocolate. My favorite colors- white and gold. My favorite flowers- roses, anemones, and peonies. My favorite music- playlists made by me, and two beautiful renditions of “Yellow” by Coldplay and “Fire and the Flood” by Vance Joy sung by my EXTREMELY TALENTED friend, Tanner Townsend. And of course, all my favorite people! There was also lots of dancing, cake eating, smiling, laughing, happy crying, and SO MUCH HAPPINESS. Truly a day I will NEVER forget. I loved every minute of it. I couldn’t thank my amazing parents enough for the beautiful day. I owe it all to them! I am so lucky.

Now, I am just slowly trying to finish writing thank you cards. They will come, I promise! In this lifetime, or the next ;).
