Sheep at the Shack

For our usual conference weekend we headed up to the shack.  The only thing notable this year was a herd of sheep that we encountered on the road while driving around on the polaris’ between sessions.  We’ve never seen them up there. I thought it appropriate since we are called to “feed thy sheep” and  “protect thy children” as we watched these huge sheep dogs corralling and protecting them.  One of them even chased us away barking.  We brought TT’s bff Caden up with us and listening to them banter back and forth, they are like brothers.  I asked them if they could remember a time that they didn’t know each other and they couldn’t.  They met when they were two.  It made me a little nostalgic to think about friends in our lives that we’ve known long enough to feel like family.  Lelu and the twins can’t remember not knowing the Zimms either.  Appropriate for conference weekend – I feel blessed.

Why did the sheep cross the road?

On alert and ready to take us out if necessary…

Me and Lelu mostly and TT and Caden on the last 50 pieces finished this 750 piece puzzle in less than 24 hours. This is a great way to keep from falling asleep during conference.

Moosey hanging on Lot 1 right about where we want to build – Great place to hang!

TT’s face on Caden’s head and vice versa – frightening!

  1. These are the real blessings and what it means to prosper in the land! I love the changing seasons and this year it’s spectacular, which surprised me because of all the drought we heard about constantly.
