We checked out of our dump and headed to Edinburgh. Michelle & Maruan stayed one more day in Glasgow. As we got closer to into the city and our hotel, Lelu was the first to notice ‘the smell’. She looked it up to see if that was normal for the city to stink and there was something about it having a smell normally but then I was on the phone with the lady finalizing our helicopter tour and she apologized “I am so sorry that you’ve come to our city on the 10th day of our rubbish strike”. And then we checked into our hotel right in the heart of the city center, just below the castle and yep! there was rubbish everywhere on the street. So different from our trip here back in 2014. It really took away from some of the charm of the city. (After the Queen died when we got back, we were pretty sure they solved their strike before they brought her there) However, we were only there for 1.5 days so we headed out into the city of rubbish and up to see the castle. It was also the busiest weekend of the year. There was a music festival and an art festival going on too.
Reality version:

Master D asked this guy to take a photo of us in front of the castle – this is what he took – and yes he was an odd looking dude, but it really made me laugh, we could be just about anywhere.

So we asked a girl to take a photo of us in front of the castle. Thank heavens we are no longer using cameras that you can’t preview the photo – so we could do it again.

We found the Harry Potter Store, but sadly the cafe/bakery where JK Rowling wrote Harry Potter burned down and is no longer there. We found a good dinner spot and these are the only two photos we got from it.
