If I posted separately about everything we were up to the last month, I’d have at least five more posts and probably bore most people to death. So in the same manner as my previous quickcast – Here’s our top news stories:
05/23/13 Ari had her spring dance recital – which I missed again. Boy, that makes me seem like I get ‘bad mom of the year’ award. We were flying home that night. Once again, trip planned before the recital was planned…
05/31/13 I went to visit Aub in Portland for two days and failed again to take any photos. I totally see the allure of Portland now. I got to see Aub’s office, meet her cute british co-worker, see her apartment, eat at delicious restaurants, run at 6:30 am the streets of Portland with the heavy smokers, homeless and methodone clinic recipients, figure out to run along the river the next morning and spend some good quality bonding time with my oldest daughter! I missed, however, the Taylor family coming up for Carissa’s wedding. Another one of those flights planned before the other events.
06/05/13 Hike to Timpanogas cave field trip the second to last day of the school year.
06/07/ 13 This is the last day of 5th grade-elementary school (our district is going to 6th-8th next year) and Channing Hall! We are getting old – B and I!
The twins very favorite teacher from 4th grade – Ari worships her, visited her at lunchtime and after school almost every day. She wants to be a teacher because of Miss Sarah. She’s one of those teachers they will always remember.
06/11/13 to 06/14/13 Girl’s camp – it was COLD at night, really dirty, no showers rough camp – one night I didn’t sleep at all! But the entire stake sang Happy Birthday to me, and I got to spend time with all the young women, Lelu as a YCL and my friends, who brought me birthday treats and fun party favors. I am so grateful to serve with them, even though I was the oldest one AGAIN. I hope I get to go with Ari next year!
06/15/13 My family birthday was postponed to Saturday and my family spoiled me rotten and I am not embarrassed to admit it! Ari & I had a little dance party too – my moves are legendary! B really went over and above and actually pulled off a huge surprise that should be here next week!
06/16/13 Father’s day quick BBQ before heading down to be at B’s nephew’s twins’ blessing. Born on 06/14 with no drugs, completely natural in her living room, 6 hours apart, first pregnancy. That girl is a ROCK STAR!
This is Baby A, named Ender Beckett
And this one is Baby B named Oakley Ridger. Cute little guys that kind of made me wish my twins weren’t so grown up – until I heard about how little sleep she’s getting. Darling healthy little boys.

What was your birthday surprise? I hope you didn’t tell us yesterday, and I missed that, too. I think my new hearing aids are so good, but then I find out all I missed out on @! #!!
