10/6/13 Gandolph & the hobbits in their t-pee lair they spent the entire day Sunday building! Wyatt looks giant next to the twins – he is giant but not THIS giant. The 3 of them were SO proud of building themselves this fort. It’s amazing how you can get kids to carry stick and logs for hours in the name of forts! They THINK they want to sleep in it in the summer. We’ll see….I can just see Bambi making it a nice little resting place during the winter.
We continued our tradition of going to the shack for conference. Jeff & Christina came up with us too. Lelu went down to St. George with some friends to help with their kids, so Landon was pretty bored. We finished another puzzle and listened to conference. J & C like puzzles as much as we do and it was quite funny to see all four adults fighting for piece placement.
The scariest part of October was getting ill with some crazy infection that moved into my lymph nodes behind my ear at the base of my skull, swelling them up like ping pong balls, 104 temp and I couldn’t hardly move my neck. I don’t remember ever feeling so sick. one trip to the instacare, three trips to the ER, four different antibiotics, an allergic reaction to two of them (Bactrin & Rocephin-just in case anyone else in the family has a reaction) covering me in hives head to toe for a few days, steroids, benedryl, ibuprofen and a blessing, and three weeks of fatigue later – I am feeling better. Phew! Where was Dr. House when I needed him??

Hansel and Gretel Zombies just in case you were wondering. I brought home the lederhoisen and dirndl and hoped they’d wear them -they added their own twist. Wyatt, Chase & Caden were zombies too – we had our own little global walking dead going on.

I think Landon pulls off the Superman pretty well! They went off to friends houses. I need a kid to stay home and answer the door one of these years. I didn’t hand out candy again – waterbottles and obnoxious whistles. I think my house might start to get avoided?

I am SO SORRY you were so sick!!! Scott had Pneumonia last month, and all my girls were close to it! Somehow I have dodged it so far! (knock on wood)
I worked at the temple on Halloween, so no one even answered our door for the little zombies.
Hope all is well!
Love you much!
Becca
Glad you are finally feeling better! So fun that you have Jeff and Christina and boys up there! They are so lucky to get to be there for the everyday life stuff!
I am so happy to hear you are better. That was scary! We left town before I knew you were all the way better.
Such fun for your kids to have cousins so close. They are making special memories!
We went to the temple Halloween night, so our house was dark and uninviting!
We are in Sedona right now, go back to Mesa tomorrow. Kay McGovern came with us and she knows so many neat things to see here. The weather has been beautiful to match the scenery.
