Big Suprise! November 2024

Rel came up from CA to celebrate their 23rd birthday together for the first time in four years. They chose to go to Benihana’s. B and I hate enjoy their love for Benihana’s. However, the restaurant’s signature scent always clings to my hair. Note to self: plan my hair washing day for the day after.

We went back to Lelu’s for each of their favorites, Picnic cake for TT every year, Caramel rice crispie treats (she tends to switch it up but it’s NEVER cake)

B and I headed down to AZ early for Thanksgiving. We managed to make it to Christian’s state championship game. The game was played at mine and Dave’s Alma mater, Mesa High School. What a drive down memory lane that was for me. Especially watching a football game. Dave & Shel are the true saints in the Sorensons’ for taking her in.

Everyone else showed up for the Thanksgiving a couple of days before. They did it to humor me and get some family photos. This included my “Keeping Up With The Taylors” Christmas card photo. Sadly, I don’t think anyone else understands my sense of humor. But I got a big kick out of it.

A month before Thanksgiving, I had a dream. D&E had a baby boy in the dream. They didn’t want to tell us, so they just showed up in Montana with this baby. I told Master D about it the next morning since it was such a realistic dream to me. In the dream, he said he didn’t want to tell us fearing judgment. A couple weeks later, they came over and said “Remember that dream you had? Well, it was a premonition. We are having a baby.” He was worried about telling us. I was not shocked by the pregnancy. However, I was a little surprised that he was worried about telling us (Knowing my history). We decided to have a little fun announcing it to everyone else. We let the photographer in on it asking her tell everyone to say “D and E are pregnant”. That’s when this photo was snapped. I can not even express how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE this photo. Everyone is so happy and joyful and celebrating – even though the situation wasn’t ideal or planned. I’ve hung this photo in my house and it is very healing for me. It’s the EXACT OPPOSITE of how I was treated and am STILL treated by certain people. The wedding is moved up to February now and we are thrilled! I KNEW it was a boy!

We hosted dinner at our house for D&M and family. Rel had to leave to get back to her job and miss dinner. It was sad. The thing I love about Thanksgiving is having everyone under the same roof. We eat cozy and comforting food together. We laugh and enjoy each other’s company. It’s the best.

The weather was amazing and perfect for being outside.

my mom and nine of her grandchildren plus two and a half great grandchildren.

Me, TT, Jake and Kenna went golfing one day. I keep thinking that maybe I’ll pick up golf but I am incredible bad at it. I see the allure of being outside and driving a golf cart. You feel pretty lucky if you can hit that little ball into a hole. It was pretty fun.
