Freaky Fast February

February 6-10th We took our last trip to Orlando for the cheer national competition. The girls were ready. They’d put in the time. The first day they placed first so went straight to the finals. Their final routine was just slightly less than perfect and ended up placing 4th out of 65 teams. I thought it was awesome. Ari was devastated. She is seriously so unbelievable assiduous and devoted! That girl got herself up all summer long and throughout the entire school year to be at school at 6:00 am to practice for four years straight. She rarely missed a practice even with the flu, or strep throat or various colds, stitches in the lip and every single Christmas vacation. Cheer has controlled her life (and ours honestly) it will be nice to have a little freedom but see her direct all of her diligence to college and her future. We are very proud parents.

While we were gone, TT and Kenna went to their final real dance together. At the time, we would have no way of knowing that Sweethearts would be it for these seniors. I added some extra photos of those two that I found in my camera role.

TT got a new suit and shoes for the dance. It’s nice that boys don’t have to get new suits for every dance – but he looks great in his new stylin duds (thanks Lelu for helping him pick it out)

February 14th. We spent it at the final basketball game/senior night where they highlighted the senior cheerleaders and we walked her out onto the court during halftime. TT made Kenna dinner (homemade mac n cheese) and kicked us into our bedroom before we left for the game. We romantically ordered door dash and then went over to the game.

Archie made Aubri a valentine at doggie day care. This is one example of why I would like to come back as a dog in Portland if reincarnation exists. Dogs in Portland are the best treated animals on the planet, AND they are dogs so they don’t have to do anything or worry about anything and are always living in the present.
