September and October flew by in a blur. If I didn’t have photos on my camera roll, I would swear it never even happened. The first biggest news is that Lelu and Jake got themselves a puppy for each other’s birthdays. They went and picked out an adorable little golden retriever boy and named him Finn. They couldn’t take him from his mom until September 30th so they just went up to Brigham City to visit him once a week while he grew bigger.

Master D took a quick trip to LA to visit Abby for a bit. Sending photos from Tito’s to make us all jealous.

In the middle of September, our company leadership team decided to do something nice for our employees and had Jake’s mom and sister’s gift basket company put together a basket for each employee. 6 of us each delivered 10-12 of these all over the Wasatch front from Salem to Ogden to each and every employee at their house. They were a big hit!

Lelu FINALLY got her diploma in the mail.

More puzzles were done.

We did A LOT of walking in the fall, most every night me, Master D and B would walk around the neighborhood. I LOVE these flowers, I have no idea what they are (they look like roses but are not on bush like a rose) and I finally planted some of my own roses – see below

Master D took a quick weekend road trip to AZ and climbed Camelback with Ari and Abby.

Lelu and Jake picked up their first little baby on September 30th. The poor little guy in the first week got diarrhea and very lethargic. They took him to doggie urgent care and were told he had Parvo. It was the saddest, most horrific diagnosis btw for an adorable little puppy. They took him to a different doggie hospital to see if he needed to be admitted and they did another Parvo test and it was negative! Phew! is the biggest understatement of the world. Apparently he’d had his shots earlier and that can give a false positive test. But man did that freak us all out. He’s big and thriving now, so thinking back on that scare I’m breathing another big Phew! You can see his poor little shaved leg from when they thought they were going to be putting an IV in. It’s amazing what a little puppy therapy can do for your mood, so me, Master D and B all went over there more often to get in the puppy loves.

Halloween came (I just put a bowl on my porch there were so few trick or treaters) and the biggest treat we got from it from a full blown case of Covid-19 the following week. Thanks to TT going to a pumpkin carving party up at Utah State and bringing it home to us. Lelu, Jake and Finn dressed up cute and had a little Halloween party that Kenna and TT went to. We didn’t even suspect that he had Covid when he was home – he had a backache, headache, diarrhea and was really fatigued. Come Monday morning Lelu felt sick, Monday night Jake felt sick, Tuesday morning I felt sick, Tuesday night Master D felt sick. B moved upstairs and we kept masks on in the house but by Saturday he was sick. Lelu & Jake went and got tested on Tuesday. They lost their taste and smell by Thursday. Master D and I just had low grade fevers and headache and I got a pretty obnoxious runny nose.
The pumpkin carving Covid party immediate results before the real results:

Finn had two costumes – he was a pirate first

And then Finn was a cow baby

Ari went over to the Sorensons and caught Ryan’s cool Covid appropriate costume.
