For Christmas, I sent everyone in my family this photo with a text saying “Christmas gift idea”. This was VERY difficult for me because when I really really really want to go to something, I don’t trust that anyone else will follow through on gifting it to me – so I buy it myself. My kids have complained to me that they can never figure out what to get me because I just get it for myself. I truly had a talk with myself that if no one got the hint – I would have to be okay with it.
Let me tell you how happy and relieved I was that Aub followed through – while in the security line at the airport because that’s where she was when they went on sale!! She also got me tickets for both shows, so we decided that B would see the first show with me and Aub would see the second. The event will appear in the next blog.
January 20th
A week or so before we left to go to CA, I watched the Marie Condo Netflix show and got spontaneously inspired. If you’ve ever watched her, she recommends you clean your closet out all at once! So I dumped every single bit of my clothes on my bed and spent the next ELEVEN hours going through them, getting rid of many and organizing the rest. B pushed over some of the clothes and went to sleep while I continued to work into the night. About six hours in, I strongly disliked Marie Condo and I was no longer thanking my clothes and just chucking them with more of a hatred than any appreciation. I chose not to go through the shoes or handbags and I still haven’t.
Lelu was asked to model in her dress for a photo shoot at the end of January. She was not loving the makeup and hair (honestly none of us like big volume in our hair) but I thought she looked amazing so I’m including the photos in the blog.
