We left Korcula by chartered boat that took us to this cool beach and snorkeling area and then on to Dubrovnik.
Goodbye, Korcula
B found places to do pull-ups pretty much any where he could.
Lunch on the boat – anchovies, delicious bread and olive oil and salad…I think some octopus salad too.
Snorkeling in the Adriatic Sea was cold but awesome because you literally float there’s so much salt, when I got tired I just hung out without even treading water. I didn’t see much to speak of as far as cool fish but the floating was worth getting in.
Arriving in Dubrovnik by boat was pretty breathtaking – a medieval city built into the cliff side completely surrounded by a wall. Wow! Wow! Wow!
Boys bathroom sign..girls bathroom sign..
We took a walking tour of the city with everyone. It’s crazy what can grow and where. It was all of the other couple’s last day, B and I were staying another day to explore the city a little more and have some alone time. Parts of the city date back to before Christ. Even though there were several attempts to conquer Dubrovnik only Napoleon was successful and he couldn’t hold it. There was some time it was ruled by the Venetians so there’s a lot of Italian influence. They film a lot of Game of Thrones in this city so their memorabilia is everywhere. B liked Split better than Dubrovnik but the last day we spent together touring Dubrovnik was my favorite – probably because my cold was feeling better, we slept in, I ate FOUR cones of dark chocolate gelato and we just went at our own pace checking out the city and doing some souvenir shopping.
This was our last dinner together as a group. We had such a great time with these people. We were sad to see it come to an end and have to head back to real life.
We took selfies all around the entire tour of the wall. I won’t bore you with all of them but it was kind of fun so I’ll share a couple
This is a replica of the Spanish stairs in Italy. A few minutes after we took this photo a wedding party came down these stairs. The groom was literally 7 feet tall. All of the restaurants are outdoors in alleyways and courtyards.
Only about 800 people still live within the city walls because it’s so much more expensive and full of tourists
Modern and medieval right next to each other
The last dark chocolate gelato..doubt I’ll ever find anything like it again.

SO RIDICULOUSLY COOL!
Dark chocolate gelato? Yep, I’m so gonna have to go there!
Now, this is my kind of vacation!! Thanks for writing such fun descriptions, along with great pictures.
