Cinco turned one on Cinco de Mayo (thus his name) and Archie turned one on May 6th. Ya know same as Megan Markle and Prince Harry’s son Archie (thus the name) and we had a Cinco de Mayo dog party. I wanted to make fun hats and keep asking each other if we liked our hats – but the kids didn’t think that sounded fun. Can you tell we are pretty bored?

I think Lelu should have walked May 6th and Jake May 7th.
The college’s really failed in making graduations this year special. Jake didn’t mind as much as Lelu did. So she made it special for him. They got photos together and sent out announcements and everything. Lelu was supposed to walk too at Utah State – but she still had a summer class or two to finish but also did not get to walk. In fact, they didn’t do ANYTHING for graduates this year.

May 8th to the 12th
Since we didn’t get to go to Arizona for Spring Break this year like we planned – we took a chance and went down there for Mother’s Day. It was very strange being there. Not very many people were wearing masks down there. We were wearing them into the gas stations and grocery stores, but hardly anyone else was. I think Utah got on the mask kick faster than AZ. We’ve been down there since and everyone wears them now – more than in UT It wasn’t my year of flowers again. Instead it was the year of boating. And let me tell you on Saturday – IT WAS SO CROWDED! We had to wait two hours to even launch the boat and they told us at the Marina that over 1200 boats were launched that day. The next morning we woke up to thunder and rain. Which completely worked in our favor because Arizonans are definitely fair weather boaters. Hardly anyone came out after the rain cleared up. it ended up being a quiet, beautiful and perfect boating day. We made sandwiches and spent a beautiful day in the sun without hardly any other boats to worry about. It was a very lovely and different Mother’s Day. Aub didn’t want to make another 12 hour drive down south when she had to drive for 12 hours back to Oregon -so we missed having her along. Kenna came along at the very last second. On our way home from the lake, we ordered from True Food – my favorite restaurant down there – and the day was perfect!
