When they asked me what I wanted for my birthday, I told my kids I really wanted to go see GooGoo Dolls. Aub and Ari both bought me tickets and they ended up being literally right next to each other! I also had VIP parking (which is awesome btw). They were playing with Train. I didn’t really like Train until I saw them live. They totally won me over with their version of “Under Pressure” by David Bowie and Queen. Their two guitarists sang the David and Freddy parts and killed it! I didn’t think that would ever be possible. I hadn’t realized the GooGoo Dolls had been around since they 80’s. I knew so many songs that I thought they were covering because I knew they were older – but nope they’ve been around a long time!.
Lelu and my friend Megan joined me (TT was supposed to come but bailed on us at the last minute – he missed out. I think he may be my one kid that is embarrassed to go to a concert with his mom). It was a beautiful night and Lelu made me and Megan laugh so hard we cried asking a few of the Studio C cast members for a photo and then asking who they were. (She saw some kids getting autographs) Good thing they are good friends with Master D and had just hung out with him in NY. I had so much fun! Thanks again Aub and Ari.
