December 24-25th, 2022
After I sprained my ankle, we got the sad news that Aub’s flight had been cancelled. We spent a good long time trying to find her another flight and did not have any luck. There was an ice storm in Portland that completely shut down the airport for a day. Every other flight on Christmas Eve was sold out. Later that night, Aub found a flight that went through Denver but she didn’t get in until 10:00 pm. We were lucky enough to have Kenna with us for the evening, as she and TT had been to her Grandma’s house for a party during the day. We also decided on a different meal than usual and went with steak with cheese and chocolate fondue, then we got to making our trains.

Master D made a ship and Tt made a tank. They tried to hang the ship from the pot hanger above but it was a fail and sadly, the ship was destroyed very soon after taking this photo.

Aub arrived – we opened our onesie pajamas – Santa filled the stockings – and hobbled to bed. The next morning, we went to church and came home to Aub making our traditional yummy breakfast. And I only made seven mistakes in wrapping/giving/planning etc this year. Jake guessed every person’s wrapping paper correctly. Rel got Master D a lizard and he loves it more than any of us could imagine.
