On the actual birthday, the kids and I decorated the house, made a delicious dinner and gave him some unexpected gifts that he bragged about to his buddies at work, yet I believe in the same breath he lamented that he couldn’t believe that for such a big milestone birthday that’s all I would do for him…haha..I felt a little guilty when I could tell he was pretty sad and I really laid on the “I’m sorry honey, I’ve been so tired lately, I have a lot going on, I have to teach on Sunday, we’ll celebrate with your family later, want me to invite a few people over on Sunday after church?” I did such a good job and so did everyone he lamented to! He was totally surprised…and felt a little foolish…and then thoroughly soaked up the fun, attention and funny stories and funny gifts. I am probably redundant in this exclamation – but we are truly blessed to have so many cool, fun & spectacular people to help us “get over the shock of going over the cliff – I mean hill”.

This was MY gift this week for HIS Bday – body work is done & now on to mechanic. I was literally jumping up and down & gave myself a headrush

Thanks for the invite! It was fun!
