The last birthday of Aub’s that we didn’t get to celebrate with her was in Germany eight years ago. Geez EIGHT?? years? Until this year:( Anyway, It reminded me that I sent her favorite enchilada recipe to her incredible host mother Anne Simon and she attempted to make it for her, but tortillas and enchilada sauce is not easily found or translated in Germany. Aub ended up with a kind of “lasagna soup” but loved the effort. It makes me giggle a little to imagine it. We’ll get to see her on Mother’s day for a minute, so maybe I will bake her a cake or make enchiladas then.

I know I put this in our Christmas card but I love seeing my kids together and CANNOT wait for Master D to return to get a proper photo of them together.

I loved her from the first time I saw her actually enter this world. I have many fond memories of rocking her and singing to her, ” Hush little baby, don’t say a word, Grandma’s going to buy you a mockingbird, etc. etc.” Taking her out in the stroller, I was amazed at how she would see the wrappers from fast food places and “read” them when she was just a toddler.
As usual, time has flown, and I can’t believe she is 25!!
Where did the quarter of a century go??? Crazy!! She was definitely such a cute little stink! Happy Birthday to Aubriane!
Love Becca
