JULY 2023 – Lake Time & Back Surgery #1

I always take a photo right as we come up over the pass and see the lake for the first time of the year.

It was the first trip for the girls to MT. They got a little toe dip baptism into the lake, which they weren’t very happy about. But having them there was definitely the highlight for everyone. We’ve talked a lot about how we really want Montana to be the place that our grandkids grow up every summer loving the togetherness of the family, fireworks, boat time, swimming, hiking, campfires, s’mores, cherries, games, movies, triathalons (which they did again, but somehow I don’t have any photos of it) and making cherished memories for all of us – so this was a big year to have our first grandkids there. We love that Dave, Shel & kids come along too and hope it is always great memories for them too.

Sadly, B’s back was getting much worse, so we decided to go back to Salt Lake for him to have back surgery. This one was supposed to be less invasive and hopefully relieve the pain. Spoiler Alert: It did NOT and only made it worse. The lake was also extra low from the tribe selling too much water out of it. Thankfully, July we could still have the boat and jet skis on the dock.

Utah was showing off with a lot of storms and really cool skies while we were there.

I went to lunch at Amy’s house and her hydrangeas were UNBELIEVABLE!

TT & Kenna also got their engagement photos taken. Look how cute they are!
