Rel and I decided to try out Orange Theory and man was I out of shape! Lelu has been going in Utah for the last year and wanted me to go try a class. The problem with Utah is there are too many people I know who go there that I was too embarrassed to show just how out of shape I was. Lelu was not very happy that I decided to try it in AZ. Rel and I made it to 2-3 classes per week and every single time I felt like they were trying to kill me. You are not supposed to have 25 minutes in the red zone btw. I have improved though. In between OT, I started walking again in the morning. I started out with three miles and by the time I made it back to UT I was up to five.

While out walking I found quite a few treasures. First I found a $100 bill, then I found two quarters, then I found a full apple pie, then a gold necklace and finally scotch tape. The only thing I didn’t pick up and take home was the apple pie.

TT went skiing and jumped on a rail and the rail won. He ended up with two broken bones in his hand and needed surgery. B and I flew home to be there for his surgery. He had to drop calculus and stop working out and rock climbing. It was quite the bummer for him.

My mom & dad decided to drive to AZ to be there to help Mark. It turned into quite the nightmare for them. Dad passed out and spent some time in the hospital, the next day Mom fell down and split her head open and went to the hospital for staples in her head, went home and fell again fracturing her pelvis and putting her in a care center for the next 6 weeks. All three of them ended up with Covid and Mark got pneumonia and spent 4 weeks in the hospital. Dave, B and I spent a lot of time driving out to see her. After we got back from our Whistler trip – Dave flew with them back to UT.

B and I also took a 48 hour trip to Stanford for a doctor appt. I have not found a place that compares to the flowers that are planted there! (I’m pretty sure I have more photos of flowers than I do of myself)

Lelu and Jake came down for the weekend to go to a Jazz game that I gifted Jake for his birthday last year. Lelu got her hair done while there and this is the only photo I snapped. She’ll be so happy to see it in here.

They were too scared to wear their Jazz swag

TT and his friend Chase were freezing to death in Logan so they came down for the weekend to warm up a bit. AZ was very accommodating as it was in the mid 80’s. They hiked Camelback and took Grant with them. They were very impressed with his ability to just run up the mountain.

TT tried out the boys half pipe – and THANK HEAVENS landed it. Phew!

We hosted Dave, Shel and the boys for the Superbowl

Valentine’s day – B did good with the flowers and gifts and we just ordered in. (Man are we getting old and boring!)

Rel and her roommate Lena took a quick trip to Disneyland with Master D and his friend.
