Ari LOVES Harry’s House

November 12th, 2022

Last April at 10 am I logged on to Ticketmaster to buy Rel tickets to Harry Styles concert in LA for her 21st Birthday. He was playing for two weeks at the Palladium in Los Angeles over her birthday. We took the chance she’d be available to go having clinical classes on the weekends and lucked out. Not only that, he got sick the weekend before and had to postpone until January. Phew! So glad we bought the weekend after her birthday. It was supposed to be me, Lelu, Rel and her roommate Lena. Lelu, however, was barfing every single day multiple times a day so at the last minute we invited Kenna to come. We missed her so much and she was so sad to miss it:(

Rel & Lena flew from Phoenix, we flew from SLC and met at LAX, rented a car that was brand new (I have never been that lucky and it only had 6 miles on it) then we went straight to Tito’s tacos, all of us starving and they had closed 15 minutes before we got there. That was a bummer. So we ended up in the world’s longest line at In n Out and then went to Huntington beach for two nights.

It was a bit chilly on the beach, but that did not deter Rel from jumping into the water. We ate yummy Sanchos, found the WORST chai I have ever tasted in my life, shopped and enjoyed the beach before we drove up to Master D’s to get ready for the concert.

The concert! Everyone, I mean Everyone dressed it up for his concerts. I bought these pants that I thought were totally wild (for middle aged me) and fit right in and filled the brand new rental car with glitter. Rel loves Harry like I love Chris so she was stoked! I’m so glad these cute young girls are willing to let me go with them to these concerts. I still love them as much as I did when I was young. I wonder how old I’ll be if/when I don’t want to go anymore. Hopefully never!

Rel and Lena had floor tickets. That is one thing about getting older, I don’t do general admission anymore, so Kenna and I were in the seats. She was such a good sport having to hang out with me in the seats. He puts on a great show! I was pleasantly surprised when we saw him in Portland and he was even more fun in Los Angeles. He really engages with the audience, he even took a girl’s sealed gender reveal and opened it and read it to her and everyone there.

Glitter from my pants

The next day we went to brunch with Master D, did a little shopping at the super cool Century City mall, which I liked much better than the Grove, On our way to the airport we were able to fill the Tito’s Tacos craving so we didn’t miss out. It was a great weekend! Thanks Rel for letting me crash your birthday gift!
