Approved Summer Activities and Shenanigans

36 hours after returning from Africa, B and I woke up early and put together the packing list for TT to go to Trek.  Honestly, he did not want to go.  We figured he’d been so busy in Africa that he’d be bored at home if he didn’t go.  Ari got out of it because she had cheer practice.  He wasn’t happy about it, but he was a good sport and I heard later bore a great testimony (he slept through our testimony meeting in Mozambique).  As you can see in the photo below, we didn’t have a lot of pioneer clothes, so he managed to make do with what we did have.   Master D moved home about the same time we got back from Africa, being left in charge of the twins while we were in Scandinavia. During which, he proved to himself he could tackle some handyman projects and he replaced the garage sink all on his own, including the plumbing – for which I was very grateful!!!

Also, we received regular updates including some proof that they went to church and were model members. Further,  Ari went off to cheer camp for a few days and Master D went up to see their performance on the last day.  They killed it! TT and his buddies built a nice ramp to try to break bones on…..(but he delightedly did not)And then he documented his biking ramp skills for us in the video below:

Master D and the kids had a lot of summer fun while we were gone also during which Master D was slowly but surely selling off every item he could do without to save up for New York and furnishing his apartment there.
